In a recent information by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), they announced of the launching of three short-term online courses under the Under Graduate and Post Graduate programmes. All the three courses would be totally free of cost and would be for a duration of around 7 to 12 days. All the interested candidates can apply for one or all the three courses as per their need.
The courses and details are as follows:
👉Geographical Information System:
The free ISRO course has been designed to teach about geographic phenomena, concepts, and examples.
Content of the course:
Data Inputting,Geographic Information, System
Spatial analysis,Introductory concepts and overview.
The course will start from September 28 to October 15, 2020. The duration of the course is for four weeks.
👉Basics of Geocomputation and Geoweb Services:
The course gives a brief insight intoGeocomputation.
The content of the course:
Geocomputation technology and applications
Introduction to online GIS,
Geo-web services and repositories ISRO geoweb services,
Programming concepts for geocomputation,Introduction to Python and R.
👉Remote Sensing and GIS Applications:
Under this course, students will be able to learn applications of remote sensing, GIS applications for crop resource assessment and remote sensing applications for geological studies. The course will begin on November 02 and end on November 20, 2020.
