The Government of Assam, on Wednesday, distributed Rs. 20,000 to around 17,000 students each, as a part of the Anundoram Barooah award 2020.
This year, instead of providing laptops, the government awarded 20,000 Rs to each of the 17,000 students who scored 75% and above in HSLC exam 2020 from state board.
The Education Minister informed that the government has sent the amount directly to the students’ bank accounts due to social distancing norms. However the CM and the Minister distributed the amount physically to few students, who secured positions in HSLC 2020.
