Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, has laid today the foundation stone of 1500-bedded medical block in LNJP Hospital.
The chief minister took to his Twitter account and tweeted about the laying the foundation stone. He said that this will be another great addition even though already 2000 beds are available. He said the LNJP hospital will become one of the biggest hospital in India after this addition.
He emphasized about how the hospital has modernized infrastructure and he is keen on providing world class healthcare facilities to the citizens of Delhi. He said the project will cost ₹ 30 lakhs per bed including the related infrastructure.
He said while other larger hospitals costs crores to make, the Delhi government has ensured that they are able to provide world class health facility while keeping expenses low and this has been only made possible due to the honest work and dedication of the Delhi Government.
He thanked the doctors serving the people day and night during the pandemic and also boasted about how Delhi government has given around 1 crore rupees to compensate for the loss of the lives of the doctors during the pandemic.
