ASSAM POLICE ARRESTS 6 FOR GANG RAPING TWO TRIPURA GIRLS

Assam police on Sunday arrested six people for allegedly gang raping two Tripura girls in Assam’s Karimganj district. According to the sources, the two girls were traveling back to Tripura where they rented a car which had one more person to return to Tripura on Friday evening. After having dinner at a dhaba at Cherabi around 11pm they resumed their journey and after few miles the driver suggested to take a short cut to reach Dharmanagar in Tripura. However, he took the car to an under construction building at Nilambazar, around 73km from Silchar, where four other men were already present. The girls were forcibly raped within the building and they also took away their cell phones and asked them to leave.
On Sunday, a team of police asked the girls about the location and initially arrested Abdul Ahad who worked as a Mason there. The police force successfully arrested 5 more culprits who are, Abu Bakkar, Amir Ali, Sumon Ali, Samsul Uddin and, Anwar Hussain.
