According to reports from the Arunachal Pradesh Police, an Assam Rifles personnel was killed and another sustained injuries after the patrolling team was being ambushed by suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) militants.
The incident happened around the morning hours of 7 am and 8 am near Sanilam village under Lazu police outpost as per the report from the police. The team was ambushed after they were returning from patrolling duty on the Indo-Myanmar border.
More details about the incident are yet to be revealed.
This is the second time an attack was launched on the Assam Rifles personnel by militants in Arunachal Pradesh under one month. They were attacked on October 4th this month where one Assam Rifles personnel died and 4 others sustained injuries.
