ASSAM: TWO POLICE OFFICERS TAKE BRIBE, ARRESTED

Assam Chief Minister’s Vigilance & Anti-corruption Cell has reportedly nabbed two police officers posted at Gauripur police station of Dhubri district on Wednesday evening.

The arrested police officers have been identified as Satyajit Borthakur, officer-in-charge of Gauripur police station and Abu Kalam Azad, assistant sub-inspector of the same police station in Assam’s Dhubri district.

The police officers were caught taking a bribe of Rs 1,00,000, the officials said, adding, further investigation is underway.
