The Congress-AIUDF are now all set to contest the upcoming Assam State Assembly Elections together. AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal earlier today visited Former Chief Minister & Congress Leader Tarun Gogoi at Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
Ajmal after meeting the former CM said, the Congress-AIUDF alliance will hold a final round of talks after Gogoi is discharged. It is expected for the deal to be sealed by the month of January, 2021.
The ‘communal’ vote-division has been quite visible lately. With the BJP primarily targeting the majority belt of voters, AIUDF has been completely sealing the minority votes.
AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal also urged all the new parties to come together, in the contest against the BJP+ alliance.
The Congress-AIUDF partnership got highlighted after they set up the single Rajya Sabha candidate jointly. Journo-turned Politician Ajit Kr. Bhuyan’s win by the push of both these party, brought the clearer image of this building alliance earlier this year.
