COTTON UNIVERSITY TO NOT RESUME CLASSES FROM 21st SEPT

Speaking to P.E.O.P.L.E, Hirak Patowary, President, CUSU confirmed the notice of the university authority not commencing classes from 21st September, as notification issued by Assam Government. He further said, newly admitted students were confused regarding the re-opening, upon which this clarification was made.

There has been many questions and confusions raised in the past few days, regarding the re-opening of educational institutions, especially for students from class 9 and above, taking into consideration both the factors of an academic year and the pandemic.

With positive cases in Assam still at a rise, maximum percentage of parents are still not sure as to send their children back to school, even after Government speaking for various shifts and days to be assigned to prevent any sort of spread.

Amidst all confusions, Cotton university has released this statement. Also on the other hand teachers are undergoing the mandatory COVID-19 tests as ordered by the state government.
