COVID HITS INDIAN TEAM IN ENGLAND; ONE PLAYER TESTS POSITIVE

The Indian team worst fears may have come true in England as the three-week post-World Test Championship (WTC) break has landed them in avoidable troubles.

The player who had test positive will not be travelling to Durham, where the Indian team is scheduled to assemble on Thursday afternoon and prepare for a three-day warmup game against a Couty Championship XI team from July 20. If there are multiple cases of infection in the side, it will be known by the headcount of players who show up for the camp.

The National Health Service in England, which has been conducting the tests on the Indian players, should notify the name of the infected players soon.

This player was seen at crowded places during this three-week break post WTC final.

Players are being tested and are also in for more tests during the camp in Durham. The first round of testing happened last Saturday and there was another round done on Wednesday.
