ITALY : TEACHERS HOLD CLASSES ON STREETS, STUDENTS ATTEND FROM BALCONIES

Campania, Italy : Campania was one of the few states which survived the first wave of the corona virus in Italy, but recently there has been a surge in the number of cases in the recent weeks and the government has closed down all schools and college.
Since then to make sure that their students don’t fall behind, teachers have been taking class from streets while the students attend these classes from balconies. This is a first of its kind technique and is not seen elsewhere around the world.
“Mothers called me and said the kids are in floods of tears, they want to go back to school, they don’t understand why schools need to be stopped,” said Pamela Buda, while holding a class for pupils sitting on public steps in central Naples.
