With India’s festive season upcoming, when during usual years the nation gears up to celebrate Navratri, Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Puja, the union ministry of health and family welfare on Tuesday announced the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 during festivities.

As an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19 during the upcoming festive season the government today issued a series of guidelines which included the administrative Requirements as well as generic guidelines.

The Centre has listed necessary preventive measures that need to be followed for religious worship, fairs, rallies, exhibitions, cultural functions during the festivities that are expected to witness gatherings of a large number of people.
