Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday met National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and top security and intelligence officers.

Top leaders in Jammu and Kashmir – including former Chief Ministers Mehbooba Mufti, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah – were arrested just before the Centre announced scrapping of article 370 in the parliament and They were released months later. This move of 2021 is the first towards the virtually dead interaction between the centre and the state.
