From the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak in the United States, President Donald Trump has projected a cavalier attitude towards mask-wearing, refusing to wear a mask in public and mocking others who do however he himself caught the novel virus along with his wife on Thursday.
Trump on Monday returned to the White House after spending four days in Walter Reed National Military Medical Center undergoing COVID-19 treatment.
Despite being still infected with the disease, Trump removed the face mask as soon as he reached the White House.
Shortly after leaving the hospital, he called on Americans to “get out there”, but to be careful of the virus that has killed more than 200,000 in the United States alone.
In a video message on Twitter, Donald Trump said, “Don’t let it dominate your life — get out there, be careful.”
“Now I’m better, maybe I’m immune, I don’t know,” he added
According to Reuters, Donald Trump’s medical team has confirmed that he is not entirely “out of the woods yet” but was able to go home, adding that his oxygen levels are normal and he will get his fifth dose of Remdesivir at White House.
