Soon after the tragic demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, an online revolution began with his fans and followers demanding justice be served and truth about the Chhichhore actor’s death be outed.
Various online initiatives were undertaken in his name, an NGO wrote to Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray urging that the star be honoured with the Padma Bhushan and most recently, Sushant’s fans started an online petition for his wax statue at Madame Tussauds London.
However, even before a decision was taken on putting Sushant’s wax model in London’s Tussauds, a sculptor, Susanta Ray paid an ode to the late actor by creating his wax statue in West Bengal’s Asansol.
According to an ANI report, Susanta Ray, the sculptor, said he admired Sushant and has made the statue in memory of the actor. He said, “I liked him (Rajput) a lot. It is unfortunate that he passed away. In his memory, I have made this statue for my museum.” He added, “However, if Sushant’s family requests for his statue, I will make a new one.”
Dressed in black bottoms, a white t-shirt and denim jacket teamed with white sneakers, a wrist-watch and a heartwarming smile on his face, Sushant’s wax statue looks very realistic.
